TEMPORARY RESIDENCY AS ‘RENTISTA’

To qualify as a “rentista”, the applicant must demonstrate that he/she will be receiving in Costa Rica, for two (2) years, a permanent, stable, and irrevocable monthly income of US$2,500. To do so, we recommend creating an Escrow account where to deposit the total biannual amount of US$60,000. The Escrow can be opened with a Costa Rican or a foreign institution. We can coordinate all the paperwork with the institution chosen by you.
The residency is granted for two years and can be renewed upon providing proof of the same income demonstrated in first instance.
CRIBO will help you in reviewing and preparing the requirements, accompanying you throughout the entire process, from start to finish.
