Costa Rican companies may hire foreign workforce for management, business executive, or specialized technical positions. The EXPAT shall be included in the payroll of the Company and earn a salary 25% higher of the legal minimum established for the position to be exercised.
This type of residency includes for the principal applicant the permit to work for the sponsor company. Family members of the applicant may be granted the temporary residency as dependents but will not be allowed to work.
