CRIBO JOINS THE ITALIAN COSTA RICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
A new Alliance to strengthen the relationship with the Italian Community
We are proud to announce that CRIBO affiliated to the Italian Costa Rican Chamber of Commerce (“Cámara de Industria y Comercio Ítalo Costarricense”, also known as “CIC” for its Spanish acronym).
The Italian Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1981, has been an essential point of contact between Italy and Costa Rica for more than 40 years, facilitating bilateral commercial relations, and assisting Italians and Costa Ricans relocating to Costa Rica and Italy, respectively. CIC is also one of the founding members of the European Chamber of Commerce in Costa Rica (“Federación de Camaras Bilaterales Europeas de Costa Rica” also known as “EuroCámara de Costa Rica”), currently holding the Vocal position within the Board of the Directors of the EuroCámara.
The main areas of activity of the Costa Rican Italian Chamber of Commerce are Import, Export, Foreign Direct Investment, and Internationalization; its services include:
- Country Presentations
- Market Research
- Organization of Networking and B2B events
- Trade Fairs support
- Government Affairs
CIC is also a very important ally for the Italian Embassy in Costa Rica, which has been without a Commercial Delegate for years, and has found in the Italian Costa Rican Chamber a strategic partner for the development of strong commercial relations between the two countries. This is a very important moment for the Italian Embassy, which has recently welcomed its new Ambassador of Italy in Costa Rica, H.E. Alberto Colella. Mr. Colella is Bachelor in Law, specialized in International Law. He was Ambassador in Oslo (accredited in Norway and Iceland) from 2018 to 2022, Consul in Belo Horizonte (Brazil), and Geneva (Switzerland), and worked at the Italian Embassy in Brasilia and at the Permanent Representation of Italy in the United Nations In New York.
In Rome, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he worked on legal (1986-1990) and consular (1998-1999) matters. From 2012 to 2018 he was in charge of the Entry Visa Unit.
With the arrival of the new Ambassador and the continued support of the Italian Chamber of Commerce, Costa Rica confirms to be an excellent destination for any Italian citizen or company looking to start a new life or a new business, who can now count on a strong institutional support and accompaniment that. This, in addition to the incredible investment opportunities and high quality of life of Costa Rica, make this Country a perfect relocation target.
At CRIBO we are thrilled to continue offering our support to the entire Italian Community, facilitated through our very own Founding Partner Cristina Guerrini, an Italian Attorney, and look forward to working with the Italian Institutions to strengthen inbound relationships with Italy.
